Inspection Services

  • A residential home inspection is a comprehensive assessment of a property’s condition conducted by a professional home inspector, typically on behalf of a buyer, before finalizing a purchase. It helps the buyer understand the home’s structural integrity, safety, and potential maintenance or repair needs.

  • A new construction home inspection is a thorough evaluation of a newly built home conducted by a professional inspector to ensure it meets building safety standards and is free from significant defects or incomplete work. This inspection is typically requested by the buyer before closing, but it can also occur at various construction phases to address any concerns before they no longer visible. Some of those phases include foundation, pre-drywall, completion and 11 months after closing to identify any issues that have arisen before the 12 month builder’s warranty expires. For more details on what is inspected during these phases contact CHI.

  • A pre-listing home inspection is conducted by a professional home inspector on behalf of a seller before putting a home on the market. The goal is to identify potential issues that could arise during a buyer’s inspection, allowing the seller to address them proactively. This can help streamline the sale process, improve buyer confidence, and possibly avoid renegotiations or delays. Please contact CHI for additional details.

This inspection is tailored to the unique needs of commercial properties and focuses on safety, functionality, and compliance with national, state and local regulations.

  • Thermal imaging, also known as infrared thermography, is a technology used in home inspections to detect temperature differences in a home’s components*. By using a specialized thermal imaging camera, inspectors can uncover hidden issues that are not visible to the naked eye. This non-invasive method enhances the thoroughness of a home inspection and provides valuable insights into a property’s condition.
